Okay, not really.
But I haven't updated in awhile because of the upcoming holidays and trying to make Christmas presents and wrap presents and be sneaky about presents and hide Christmas presents from friends' spouses and...well, you get the idea.
So here's my next three Twelve Days of Christmas Past posts. They are all going to be about things I've discovered this year that have made my life easier and better.
Day Four:
First off, I work in an office where I sort mail for the people that live here. Doing this has a few perks: if magazines come in for residents that don't live here and forgot to change their address, we would normally just toss them. Fortunately for me, there are good magazines that come in sometimes, like this one:
Seriously, if you've got a second, go check out their website. It's almost better than getting the magazine because it's everything they've got: tips on organizing, finding time for things and just making your life simpler in general. It's worth a couple of seconds.
Day Three:
There are two really great things in life that I love: instant messaging and and my Mac. Luckily, in my case, they made a free program for Macs that combines all of my messengers that I use (MSN Messenger, gmail, Facebook, my school's chat service) plus tons and tons of others like Yahoo, ICQ, AOL, etc. It is called Adium and it has become the new addiction in my life. One more cool thing is that you can download all types of user created sound packages for when friends log in or out, or message you, and tons of other sounds. Mine is currently set to Mario sounds. It's sweet. Plus their logo is super cute.

Day Two:
The last thing on my "simplify your life" list is something that I have a hard time with: finishing projects. I know, we've all been in that boat: we start something really great and then it sits there for 6 months waiting for something to be done with it. Well, in my case, my project has been sitting there for two and a half years (if anyone is counting, that is how old Little Princess is). The thing is, I promised my sister that I would make Little Princess a scrapbook with all the pictures that my mom and dad take and it was going to be awesome and amazing and totally cool. Well, two and a half years later, it has yet to be finished. Then I discovered Smilebox. It is a program that allows you to create scrapbook pages from premade layouts, and all you do is plug in your pictures. Let me tell you, this program has been a godsend. As of a few days ago, I have completed the first year scrapbook for Little Princess, and now I'm just waiting to print. Amazing huh? This program is perfect for those of us without the time to really dedicate to a great scrapbook but still provides quality results.
Alright so there's my plugs for the day! How about you do something make your life simpler?
Love, peace, and chicken grease.
For the Fourth, Third, and Second Day of Christmas Past, I made my life simpler this year!
