Before I get on to the very pleasant news, I totally want to make an excuse as to why I haven't posted in awhile:
When Peter began school about 3 weeks ago (which is an hour and a half away), he took our dear son, Mac, with him to keep him company. However, Mac is my heart and soul when it comes to blogging, and picture holding, and picture editing, etc. etc. and we all know how BORING posts are without pictures. Thus, because Mac and Peter have been away, I have not posted. But don't worry your pretty little heads about it, I've got PLENTY of ideas for posts, and Peter comes home tomorrow. Prepare for the overload.
Moving on.
The very pleasant news.
It has been very crummy weather lately. Rain. Hail. Sleet. Microbust. You get the idea. And with the crummy weather, comes a very crummy Red. I must have that condition where you get emotionally impacted by the weather. This is what I woke up to today:
I know. It looks kind of pretty. But those mountains are supposed to be about three times bigger than that sliver you see along the bottom.
And these were the mountains right above my house, before you go into the canyon. Again, pretty, but SUCKY at the same time. This was also one of the few times it wasn't pouring down rain -- it was more of a drizzle at this point.
Anyway, with Peter being gone and the weather being bad and me being completely unmotivated to do most things, I've been pretty bummed lately.
So on a random whim -- and when I say "random", I truly mean it...I haven't done this since Peter left -- I pulled on our Wii Fit board and game, and decided to see how much I weighed. I've been having issues with my weight lately (it was a tid bit higher than normal), so I decided to check it out.
And I lost 7 pounds since Peter has been gone!
Holy. crap. What happened?? Actually, don't answer that. I already know the answer. It's called I've been basically single again!!! The biggest factor is that I don't eat huge meals anymore because he's not around to eat us out of house and home. I haven't grocery shopped in over two weeks and have been totally fine. It's weird!
Anyway, that's about to all end here pretty quick. Peter found somebody locally here that is also in his class, and she commutes everyday down to the school, and so he wants to carpool with her instead of living with his brother. And actually, it will end up being cheaper for us because what she is asking for in gas money is less than what we pay now for his bus pass. Sweet deal!
And I get my hubby every night!
That's a pretty great feeling. Go hubby -- way to be social and find carpools!
Except that now I'm probably going to gain the weight back. Bummer.

So...Brig works everyday and I pretty much just sit around not wanting to do the things I should so we should somehow end up doing that together. I think that would be cool.
This rain, cloudy, drizzly wetness thing is driving me crazy.
Now...I'm off to find my husband a job in another town so I can lose weight.
